A: We take very direct steps to ensure that we know how our associates speak to you when they are attempting to collect. Portfolio Recovery Associates has a Quality Control Department. Its job is to listen to the calls that employees of Portfolio Recovery Associates make to attempt to collect debts.

When you call many types of companies for various reasons, you often hear it announced that “this call may be monitored for quality control.” At Portfolio Recovery Associates, our policy is to monitor every employee every month, without fail, in order to deter harassment and to ensure that you are treated with the utmost fairness and respect.

By extensively monitoring calls made by Portfolio Recovery Associates, we go above and beyond to ensure that the quality of our business is indeed well controlled. Deviations from laws governing the collections industry are dealt with swiftly and decisively should they occur at Portfolio Recovery Associates. We take great pride in our employee training program and hold anyone at Portfolio Recovery Associates accountable for failing to adhere to governing laws or company policies.
